Our responsibility.

We shape people’s lives.

As the DIETZ GROUP, we rely on the ICF (International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health) of the World Health Organization (WHO) to develop individual and tailor-made medical aids for all people with mobility ailments.

The ICF views disabilities not only as a medical problem, but also as an interplay of physical functions, activities and participation in social life. This enables a holistic approach to medical aid provision and ensures that medical aids are not only functional, but also optimally tailored to the life situation of those affected.

Holistic medical aid provision.

ICD diagnosis

The first step is the prescription (varies per market) based on the ICD diagnosis. It describes the health restriction and forms the basis for the further care process.

Holistic evaluation

The ICF is used to record body functions, activities and environmental factors. This creates a comprehensive picture of the individual situation.

Medical objectives

Specific goals are defined together with the patient – from independent mobility to active participation in everyday life. They form the basis for the right choice of a medical aid.

Configuration

The medical aid is individually configured based on the defined goals. The result is a solution that precisely meets the needs of the user.

Device testing

A practical device testing carries out if the medical aid is performing effective in everyday use. This shows whether adjustments are necessary to optimise the product.

Cost review & approval

The request is submitted to the cost carrier and gets reviewed (varies in markets). A comprehensive justification based on ICD and ICF supports the approval of the medical aid provision.

Handover of medical aid

Once the costs have been approved (varies in markets), the medical aid gets handed over in person. Users receive instructions so that they can use the product safely and independently in everyday life.
